Yes, that's right...the Harbor Half Marathon & Relay is going green!  We all know the importance of "doing the right thing" for ourselves and our planet.  Here is what Junior Achievement of the Coastal Bend has implemented to reduce the impact on our environment:

•  VIP parking spaces for carpoolers (3 or more in a car)

•  Bulk water distribution (as opposed to bottled water)

•  Collection bins for discarded running cloths/shoes

     (Will be donated to a local homeless shelter or center)

•  Email vs. US Mail whenever possible

•  Use recycled paper for registration flyers

•  Partnering with environmentally friendly service providers and

    leaders in the industry for green race efforts such as Beautify

    Corpus Christi

•  Using organic t-shirts if available from vendor

•  Using biodegradable cups if available from vendor
