Harbor Half Marathon & Relay

The 2008 Harbor Half Marathon was a great success.  The morning started with 541 runners and Chamber of Commerce weather!  We would like to say thank you to Valero for their title sponsorship of the 2008 Harbor Half Marathon & Relay and the numerous other sponsors who supported the race.  Over 200 volunteers lined the streets from Whataburger Field, Corpus Christi Beach and the hike and bike trail at Indian Point Pier to cheer on the participants and kept them safe.  The committee hopes that everyone had a great time running this unique course over the Harbor Bridge and we will see them back again next year.  Mark your calendar now for the 2009 Harbor Half Marathon & Relay on Sunday, October 18, 2009.

The 2008 Kids' Marathon was also a great success.  A great big thanks to H-E-B for their title sponsorship and for encouraging more than 300 kids to lead healthy lives by eating nutritious food and participating in physical activity.  Most of them participants had run 25 prior to the 1.2 race and complete there marathon on race day.  More than 50 volunteers guided the students through the race course and helped with registration.  The 2009 Kids' Marathon will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2009.
